Remove repeated lines from text or lists
Duplicate lines are repeated entries that appear more than once in line-based text or a list. Paste your text above and this tool will keep the first occurrence of each line, remove later duplicates and preserve the original order. By default, matching is exact, so differences in letter case or surrounding whitespace make lines distinct.
Use Ignore case when entries such as Apple, APPLE and apple should count as the same line. The first occurrence is retained with its original casing. Use Trim whitespace to remove spaces from the beginning and end of each line before comparing it; internal spaces are left untouched. Remove empty lines can be enabled when blank or whitespace-only lines should be omitted rather than retained.
Removing duplicate lines is useful for email-address lists, URL lists, keyword lists, copied spreadsheet values, exported records, product or item lists, logs and other line-based data. The tool does not sort, merge or otherwise clean your entries: it only removes duplicates according to the options you select.
